If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will provide a refund or exchange the item within 90 days of purchase.* Whether you made your purchase online, from a catalogue or in a Cabela’s store, you may return or exchange it by mail or at any of our Canadian locations.
With receipt: Items returned in accordance with Cabela's Canada guidelines, accompanied by a receipt and in saleable condition will be refunded at the original purchase price, plus applicable sales tax, in the original payment method. Items returned with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a Cabela's Canada gift card.
Without receipt: Items returned in accordance with Cabela's Canada guidelines unaccompanied by a receipt will be processed at the lowest selling price in the past 60 days, plus applicable sales tax. Such items may be exchanged for the same product, or returned for merchandise credit in the form of a Cabela's Canada gift card.
Note: Unless an error occurred on our part in the shipment of your order or if the product is defective, shipping fees charged at time of order will not be refunded and the cost of return shipping (if a pre-paid return label included with your original order is used) will be deducted from your merchandise credit or refund. We cannot accept COD return orders.
Cabela's Canada reserves the right to limit or decline returns and exchanges.
• Cabela's brand clothing and footwear is guaranteed against defects in workmanship for the lifetime of the product under normal wear and tear.
• All other Cabela's brand merchandise is guaranteed for one full year under normal use and against defects in materials and workmanship.
For items damaged in shipment, please call Customer Care at 1-800-265-6245 or email firstname.lastname@example.org before returning. Some products we sell are covered by a manufacturer's warranty that requires items to be sent directly to the manufacturer for replacement or repair.
*Our standard return policy does not apply to the following items:
New firearms: All sales are FINAL. If a firearm is defective, we will exchange it within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, contact the manufacturer or an authorized service centre for warranty determination and/or repair. Please call 1-800-265-6245 prior to mailing a firearm to our return centre. Abuse, incorrect use or subjecting the firearm to extreme conditions may invalidate the warranty. Please retain the box the firearm is shipped with in the event a return is required.
National brand optics: May be returned within 60 days of purchase with the original sales receipt. The item must be returned in its original packaging and with all accompanying manuals and accessories. After 60 days, these items must be returned to the manufacturer. Optics include: binoculars, scopes, spotting scopes, range finders & sights.
Sunglasses: When returning sunglasses purchased at Sunglass Hut locations within our store, returns should be made to the Sunglass Hut location they were purchased at.
The following items may be exchanged or returned within 30 days of purchase with the original sales receipt:
- Airsoft guns
- Electronics: includes action cameras, digital compasses, drones, electronic collars, electric trolling motors, fish finders, GPS, headphones, metal detectors, personal locator beacons, radios, satellite phones, speakers, trail cameras, weather stations, wearable technology (including watches).
- Computer software,video games & DVDs may be returned if the original factory packaging has not been opened.
- Hunting blinds, ice shelters and sunshades
- Power-sports: products are ineligible for return if they have been used, show signs of use, or if oil or fuel has been added. This includes: generators, ice augers and outboard motors. If repairs are needed, the item should be returned to the manufacturer or an authorized service centre.
Final Sale items that cannot be returned include:
- Ammunition, gun powder, primers or reloading components
- Arrows (once cut to length)
- Bear or dog spray
- Food processing equipment
- Footwear insoles
- Gift Cards and E-Gift Cards
- Sleeping bags and mattresses (including mattress pads)
- Pre-owned firearms purchased from a retail store
- Special Orders (including personalized items)
- Tree stands and ladder stands
- Underwear, lingerie, swimsuits and base layers
- Retail-location Bargain Cave items (exception: Bargain Cave items purchased on Cabelas.ca follow general return guidelines).
Items purchased from a retail location in the United States or from Cabelas.com may not be returned to a Canadian retail store. Similarly, items purchased from Cabela’s Canada may not be returned in the United States.
