Patented self-calibrating technology combines the display's barometer data with the outdoor sensor's measurements to provide a personalized, hyperlocal weather forecasts 12 hours from your current conditions. This AcuRite personal weather station detects lightning strikes up to 25 miles away and offers on-screen alerts along with running strike totals for the day, week, and month. Track indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure trends, and estimated distance to the nearest lightning strike. Unit displays a warning when heat index is above 90°F and a freeze alert warning when temperatures fall to 32°F – giving early warning for outdoor activities and to gardeners so they can cover plants! Cycle through indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity highs and lows that reset every day at midnight. The auto-dimming colour display provides the time and date in easy-to-read digital numbers. The AC-powered indoor display uses 3 AAA batteries (not included) for optional backup in case of a power outage. The outdoor sensor has an integrated keyhole hanger for easy outdoor mounting within 330' of the display and requires 4 AA batteries (not included).
