Join Terry Ledoux, of Canada's College of Taxidermy as he walks you through the world of taxidermy.

During this class, Terry will provide an overview of modern taxidermy, dipping into the evolution and history of the practice. He’ll also go in depth about the proper care, handling and storage of a specimen from the field or lake, to receiving it at the shop. He’ll talk about the selection of forms to mount your animal and the tools and materials required in working on the specimens. Lastly, Terry will help you identify both the Provincial and Federal regulations and licensing required for taxidermy.

Want to learn more about hunting but don’t know where to start?

In her Introduction to Hunting Class, Dr. Erika Anseeuw will cover everything you’ll need to know to start hunting. She’ll talk about the legal and moral requirements of hunting and give you an overview of what each type of hunting involves and the steps you’ll need to start doing it. She’ll also cover the equipment needs, physical demands and how to find locations for each of the general types of hunting (small game, upland, waterfowl and big game). The course will run for about two hours and will include discussion on the why, when and how of hunting.

This is not a hunter safety course and does not qualify as such.
Rather, it is a supplemental class to teach the finer details not covered in hunter safety.

The successful completion of this/these course(s) will enable you to obtain your Position and Acquisition License (PAL) and/or Restricted Position and Acqusition License (RPAL).
