Cabela's Edmonton store is located at the Currents of Windermere, just off Terwillegar Drive and west of the Anthony Henday Drive. The 70,000-square-foot store features a two-storey Conservation Mountain, archery range, world-class Gun Library, and hundreds of wild game trophies. Other highlights include a Fudge Shop and Bargain Cave.

  1. Chronic Wasting Disease Surveillance Program (CWD) - Head Submission

Event Details

Hunters play an important role in Alberta's CWD monitoring by submitting heads of harvested deer for CWD testing. If you have harvested an animal in a CWD-monitored zone, stop by Cabela's Edmonton South and submit the head for testing. Located outside on the southwest corner of our store building is a CWD-marked freezer. Please follow the instructions on the freezer for proper submission of your game.   1. 7th Annual Big Game Trophy Measuring Day

Our legendary trophy measuring event is back! Bring your big game or carnivore game head to Cabela’s Edmonton South and get it measured by our panel of registered AFGA Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young scorers. This is your chance to have your animal officially scored at no charge for an opportunity at the record book, and to show it off for the day! Event starts at 10:00 a.m. All specimens must be entered by 2:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for top scores in each category.
