  1. Alberta Wildlife Carving Association Mini Carving Workshop - *Advance Registration Required*

Join members of the Alberta Wildlife Carving Association and learn how true-to-life carvings are created from these experienced artists. This interactive station offers a unique opportunity to a limited number of Ladies’ Day Out registrants to participate in the design and creation of a miniature carving project under expert instruction. Due to the popularity of this activity, pre-registration is required and the event will be limited to 14 total participants (two groups of seven participants - one morning and one afternoon session). Ladies attending class 1 must arrive at Cabela's Edmonton South and check in no later than 9:30 a.m. to avoid losing their seat. To pre-register for this activity, email Katelynn.O'Grady@cabelas.ca. Ladies, for fashion or for function, paracord tying is a fun and useful hobby. Whether you're a novice tyer or a seasoned pro, come and experience hands on braiding with representatives from the Alberta Fish and Game Association - Becoming an Outdoors Woman Program. In this activity, you will create a stylish survival bracelet out of strong and durable parachute cord (550 cord). All materials will be provided. Space is limited and participation will be on a walk-up, first-come-first-serve basis.
