Hunters play an important role in Alberta's CWD monitoring by submitting heads of harvested deer for CWD testing. If you have harvested an animal in a CWD-monitored zone, stop by at Cabela's Edmonton North and submit the head for testing. Located outside the store on the southeast corner is a CWD-marked freezer. Join members of the Alberta Wildlife Carving Association and learn how true-to-life carvings are created from these experienced artists. This interactive station offers a unique opportunity to a limited number of Ladies’ Day Out registrants to participate in the design and creation of a miniature carving project under expert instruction. Due to the popularity of this activity, pre-registration is required and the event will be limited to 14 total participants (two groups of seven participants - one morning and one afternoon session). If you're curious about firearms or are just looking for a thrill, this realistic, true-to-life simulator safely introduces you to the mechanics of firing a gun – video-game style.
