Hunters play an important role in Alberta's CWD monitoring by submitting heads of harvested deer for CWD testing. If you have harvested an animal in a CWD-monitored zone, stop by at Cabela's Edmonton North and submit the head for testing. Located outside the store on the southeast corner is a CWD-marked freezer. Cabela's Edmonton South will now host the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course on the Tuesday evening following the Non-Restricted Course, which is held on the first Sunday of the month. Individuals must pass the Non-Restricted Course before taking the Restricted course. Successful completion of this course allows you to own and purchase a restricted firearm (handguns and certain semi-automatic rifles).
