Product Description

Printed on tear resistant and waterproof paper, this BC topographic map covers the Okanagan Valley like no other map. Not only will it withstand all Mother Nature can throw at you, we have also added things like fish species, hunting management units, mapped the BC logging roads and trail systems and noted all the park and forest recreation sites in the area. Now you can travel around the BC wilderness with a map that will not fall apart, helps you distinguish the valleys from the mountains and let’s you know what to fish for.

The Okanagan Valley Recreation Map covers the popular tourist area that is as famous for its’ sunshine and wineries as it is for its’ sandy beaches and destination lakes. The southern half of the map covers the area from Kelowna south past Penticton and Osoyoos to the USA border. The northern half covers all the way north past Vernon and Salmon Arm to the popular south arm of Shuswap Lake. There are endless lakes to explore with a fishing rod or on a canoe, trail systems that will take you across the valley or throughout BC, ATV and snowmobile routes, beautiful parks and hidden recreation sites as well as some prime wildlife viewing areas.

The map itself combines several of the popular Thompson Okanagan Backroad Mapbook maps and increases the scale to 1:150:000 to allow for easier readability. The most striking feature on the map is the award winning topographic and relief shading. Finally, Canada has an up to date topographic map source that combines elevation information with current logging road and recreational information. Other prominent features include the ATV and snowmobile line classifications, symbols that mark wilderness campsites, boat launches, paddling routes, trail systems and much more.
